Bass anglers were so triggered by the video on Facebook, everyone and they're grandmother had to chime in saying it's more likely to catch the angler than anything at all.
One musky angler goes
Almost every comment is obviously coming from bass fisherman that have never target, caught and or held a musky.
Here's the thing, what may look really weird to you bass angler for bass fishing, may work really well for musky fishing. Musky anglers are known to be very innovative with thinking outside the box on bringing out the hunting characteristics of a muskellunge. You must realize, while some of the same lures from bass fishing work really well on musky like crankbaits such as the squarebill 8.0, however there's a lot of the weirdest looking baits that work great for musky fishing like the Medussa, Quad Dawg Bulldawg, Flaptail, Toothy Tuff Baits Assault Eel aren't going to work to well for bass fishing. First off due to their size that will be overwhelming to the bass, but also the overabundance noise and flash they make, along with water they movie, so they're likely to spook the bass than entice them into biting, often wearing double tails, triple tails, and even quadruple tails.
We're targeting the Apex Predator of the lake, not some dinky little bass with a tiny tube bait. Probably why majority of bass anglers make some of the poorest musky anglers around! Every bass angler that I tried to convert over to musky fishing, has either gotten burned out from the sport or they just don't have the determination it takes to put into musky fishing to catch a 50 inch musky, so when pussies like these are chiming in claiming they know anything about musky baits, they need to keep their mouth shut, because they don't know squat! They're currently sold out on MuskyShop.com, so if ya got room in your Lakewood Monster Tackle Box, I don't
