musky-pike-fishing-forum.jpg
So at first I was just gonna start another musky forum, but then I forgot how much I love fishing for pike, even tiger musky and also maybe even taking trips outside the country for even larger pike in Canada and maybe elsewhere like Mongolia for Amur Pike. So I thought to myself, there's already plenty of musky and pike forums out there. Why not think outside the box, try starting an Esox forum to cover all the different Esox species around the world, even connecting to European anglers to give each other recommendation on different tips and different lures we may not be using here in the States, especially lures like like Bladed Swimbaits such as the Suissex Shad Spin Blade, absolutely love that lure for bass and musky fishing. As well as connecting with the different Esox Guides out there for promoting the different Esox camps like where they fly you into some of those desolate lakes without any fishing pressure. Along with connecting to social media sites like Facebook and Youtube to promote your social media channels directly. Remind, I use the top forum software called Xenoforo that uses some of the most innovative plugins where you don't even have to use the embed code, all you have to do is post the url and it will embed it in your video or instagram photo. Also every time you post, your social medial links will be seen under your Avatar photo like over to the left of me as well too!

There's a lot, I mean a lot of old school musky anglers using old forum software technology for their forums, not adapting with modern times, they also have an attitude towards musky and pike youtubers that they claim blow up spots. Some of these old anglers are living in the dark ages, don't realize, video is the new thing... Sports change, new technology comes along like livescope, mega 360, maybe even action cameras like GoPros that change sports. Those not adapting to modern times are dinosaurs! I'm not completely knocking them, because sometimes it's good keeping tournaments to primarily just skill by banning livescope at the tournament level, however, many are still set in their ways and can't think passed just taking photos, using big rubber, the same baits and doing the same thing every year. Which involves trolling in the summer and just casting for musky with big rubber in the late fall and winter. If you get involved with these pike /musky clubs and groups, I'm forwarning you sometimes they're not what they're cracked up to be, lot of backstabbing especially if you start gaining sponsorships or winning tournaments, and they'll hold you back without realizing it, that could be using new technology to promote yourself like social media such as YouTubing and Instagram because according to them it blows up spots and brings fishing pressure to lakes. Not gonna deny there's some truth to some fishing pressure for smaller rivers or inland lakes, however, you have to be careful of these anglers camoflauging the jealousy as this as you start to going recognition on youtube and elsewhere with sponsors. Sometimes other anglers and even clubs/groups will hold you back. Some anglers do that same shit every year, can't think outside the box, gotta be careful of tribalism too!!! Sports change, those holding reigns don't want change remember that...

"It's threatening their jobs it's threatening the way that they do things and every time that happens, whether it's a government or a way of doing business or whatever it is the people who are holding the reins have their hands on the switch they go bat crazy."

I mean what ya expect is going to happen when YouTubers and Instagrammers start gaining sponsors taking away money, sponsorships, viewership from the pros and tournament angling? The beef and jealousy was there right from the get go!!! Along with when young anglers started winning tournaments with Livescope at the Bassmaster Classic because they can adapt with the technology better than the old school anglers like Randy Blaukat. I like Randy, but his time come and gone, again I'm not against banning Livescope for tournament to keep skill involved, but he's still set in his ways and want's the technology banned entirely. He claims it's going to kill the bass population, yet when he tournament fished there was a 23.3% delayed mortality rate when he bass tournament fished in the 90s, hypocrite? Just like how there's lot of old school anglers claiming livescope will allow musky anglers to catch more musky which automatically mean an increase in mortality rate. Yes, but what about the musky trollers that already catch 10-30 musky per session and don't even slow the boat down after they throw the fish overboard to make sure they're revived. Again, gotta be careful of tribalism and being in these clubs/groups, ya got good ol Larry Ramsell claiming it will kill all the musky, "it's going to kill the musky populations," when he doesn't even scrutinize the musky trollers that already put up large amount of musky trolling and there's definitely a mortality rate within their modern day tournament musky fishing just like what Randy has partaken in most of his life with bass tournament fishing!!!

I don't tournament fishing myself and not against it, but I'm not going to sit here chastizing livescope when there's already certain types of musky fishing that has a mortality rate, it's better to look at things objectively rather than thinking the sky is going to fall.

Ya know some of conservatives own mentality is their own downfall thinking only select few should be entitled to information to learn a sport or hording all the water themselves, which leads to what, sports losing popularity and then before you know it you're surrounded by vegans or athletes partaking in other sports that uninterested in discussing musky fishing or hunting. I always say the one thing Vegans have in common with some of the entitled musky anglers is not growing the sport, some don't realize what they're promoting when they're constantly saying you're gonna blow up a spot or bring too much fishing pressure to a lake, this could even be the Ocean. Gotta be willing to help and teach others how to hunt and fish at the public level on social media, not everyone can afford a musky or hunting guide in todays world, the new generation has ADHD and is broke, probably why hunting is on the downfall because the Gen-Zs can barely afford an apartment let alone land where they can hunt. What's nice about fishing is, there's lot of public parks and lakes where you can fish, and they don't suck like public hunting in the woods and have to drive 2 hours to, fishing spots can be found both city and country. Ya know, when you're surrounded by vegans or people not wanting to talk fishing and hunting, ostracized from society, you'll be your own downfall because of secretism and conservatism of thinking only certain people are entitled to knowledge how to musky fish and deer hunt! Lets just say I've seen a lot and heard a lot over the years... There's one social media site geared towards more hunting and fishing crowd, eating meat and that's what? Rumble! Imagine fishing and hunting outlawed on social media, ridiculous to think that? Well you already can't monetize hunting and gun videos on YouTube... When's last times you seen a hunting or fishing movie come out of Hollywood like River Runs Through It? Gets back to what Kevin Sorbo said, Hollywood is broken, if you don't like there's no fishing and hunting movies coming out anymore, "time to start making your own."

Here you will not be judged, just be curteous to one another and not spamming, everything will be cool. It's time for a new era come around fishing, some anglers think Bass fishing is the most popular freshwater species to fish for. Yeah, give me a break, if you've ever caught a pike or musky that has jumped, felt the adrenaline rush, give me a fucking break. Bass fishing is a sport for beta male barnacles! The popularity for musky and pike fishing is long overdue!!!!! And gotta remind you some hardcore Patriotic Americans, this is an international forum, everyone will be accepted here no matter what their political beliefs and country they're from. If there's a photo or video shared you don't want on here, just notify me to take it down, simple as that!

You know I don't expect a boat load of anglers to register and post, with social media still being the most popular websites people are spending their time on these days in modern age and most forums dieing out, people being just robotic followers, especially addicted with scrolling through reels all day long. However, I still enjoy posting my own fishing videos on here, giving my own tips and tricks on catching musky and pike. There's still a lot of lurkers and fishermen that read forums! I also have an Underwater Drone Forum that has inspired a lot of people to join the new hobby and give them some insight on which drones to buy. Forums are still a lot of fun and offer a lot of things facebook fishing groups don't have, even if I can inspire just a few young anglers to try out the sport of pike and musky fishing, it's definitely worth it!
